Nebula the Werehog

It was early morning at 4:30 a.m. A blue-violet hedgehog wearing her helmet was riding on her motorbike through the highway passing cars. As she goes to the highway exit, she saw a red light, so she stops and waits for the traffic light zone to turn green. Just then, her communicator watch on her wrist was beeping. She answers.

"Nebula? Where are you? We still haven't found Eggman anywhere. Have you found him yet?" Sonic asked.
"No. I searched everywhere through the highway hours ago" Nebula said through her communicator.
"No sign of Eggman? Great, he's probably hiding from us since he doesn't know how to fight" Sonic grumbles.
"Yeah I know. I got to go now, since the traffic light zone is green" Nebula said as she turns off her communicator and turns to the right of the road. All of a sudden, flying robots with rocket shoes were after Nebula.
"Huh? Oh, damn it!" Nebula hits the gas and speeds off and dodges cars out of the way without causing damage.
"Excuse me! Coming through people!" Nebula said politely as she passed by them while the flying robots were coming fast. Nebula looks over her shoulder and warms up her purple energy blast from her hand while her other hand is on the handle.
"Eat this!" Nebula threw her energy blast right at them as they exploded into pieces of metal. But more were coming in. Nebula continues to drive fast away from the flying robots. She saw Tails' workshop, but then, a purple liquid tube-like dart went straight to Nebula's back.
"OW!" Nebula screams in pain as she takes the dart out of her back and threw it to the side. She stops her motorbike and gets off. She looks back to where the robots are, but they were gone. Nebula removes her helmet.
"What? You have got to be kidding?" Nebula said. All of a sudden, she felt something, her arm was trembling.
"Huh? What's happening?" she saw her arms changing into thick violet-blue fur. Nebula falls down to her knees groaning in pain.
"What's……happening……?" Nebula groans louder, she shut her eyes tight. Her black converse shoes had metal spikes around the sides, her gloves and bracelets were ripped and torn off, her nails were growing into sharp claws, her quills had white tips on the ends, her peach skin on her muzzle changed color into light blue-violet, her teeth changed into sharp fangs, and finally she opens her glowing sky blue eyes. After her transformation was over, she roars furiously.
"AAAARRRRRRROOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!" Nebula howls from the distance. The howl sound waves travels to all the way down to where Shadow and Sonic to the forest.  
"Shadow, did hear that?" Sonic asked with worry.
"Yeah, it sounded like a wolf. I hope Nebula is okay" Shadow said with worry about his girlfriend.
"Don't worry Shads, she's a strong girl" Sonic said.
"I don't know Faker, something doesn't feel right"
"I feel the same way too. I wonder where she is"
Just then, a blue-violet werehog jumped in to where Sonic and Shadow were standing.
"Whoa!" Sonic jumped back away from the werehog.
"Damn!" Shadow also jumped back too.
"Grrrrrrr!!!!" the werehog growls at them.
"Wait a minute. Is that…..?" Sonic didn't finish.
"Nebula?" Shadow added the answer to Sonic's sentence.
As the werehog's pointy ears perked to the sound of her name. She was having flashbacks of Shadow and her. She finally remembers something.
"Shadow? Sonic?" the werehog's voice sounded like a girl's deep scary voice.
"Nebula?" the boys were stunned.
Werehog Nebula looks at her huge hands with claws, she gasps in horror.
"What happened to me? I'm a monster!" Nebula said sadly with tears coming out of her eyes.
"Nebula is that you?" Shadow asked as he slowly walks up to her.
"Yes, it's me. Please don't hurt me!" Nebula said as she steps back.
"I'm not going to hurt you, I will never hurt you"
"Really? Oh, Shadow you do care" Nebula said happily.
"Of course I care a lot about you Nebula"
"Aww….thank you Shadow. Boy, my voice sounds so deep. Oh, how am I going to change back? I'm stuck as a werehog or something" Nebula said sadly.
"We'll figure this out. But first Nebula, tell us what happened?" Sonic asked.

Moments later after Nebula explained her whole story; Shadow and Sonic were completely shocked.
"A dart? Do you think that this dart might have turned you into this?" Sonic asked.
"I think so. But why would Egghead turn me into this?" Nebula said.
"I don't know" Shadow said.
Just then, the sun was rising up. The sunlight's bright rays were shining on Nebula, she was changing back into her hedgehog form. Her gloves, bracelets, and shoes were back to normal.
"Huh? Hey, I'm back to normal" Nebula said, but also confused.
"Wait a minute. If the sun is up, then that means I'm in my hedgehog form. But if the sun goes down, I'm back to a werehog. This is not good" Nebula said with concern.
"This does make perfect sense. This is like unleashing the beast at night time" Sonic said.
"So this werehog form is only active at night time. Not day time" Shadow said.
"We should go to Tails' workshop and find out about this" Sonic suggested.

At Tails' Workshop

Tails was using his scanning machine on Nebula. After he was done, he goes to his lab computer and types in to see what's inside Nebula's blood system.
"Whoa! This is something new. Her red blood cells are changed into purple. I'm gonna need to be alone to learn this new werehog thing. See ya guys" Tails waved goodbye to Sonic, Shadow, and Nebula.
The three hedgehogs left the workshop. Nebula found her motorbike and gets on it, but first she had to put on her helmet.

Moments later; Shadow was also riding his motorbike, but no helmet. He was following Nebula with her riding her own motorbike. Sonic was speeding.
"Hey Nebula? When did you learn how to ride a motorcycle?" Sonic asked.
"Well, when I was 13 I took dirt bike race. Then quit when 16 and had my driver's license, then my motorcycle license" Nebula answered his question.
"Wow" the boys were stunned.
"Oh, damn it!" Nebula groans.
"What?" Sonic questioned.
"Look!" Nebula points to the flying robots that were coming right at them.
"Flying eggrobots?!" Shadow and Sonic screamed at the same time. This time they were holding a pink hedgehog.
"AMY!!" the three hedgehogs screamed.
"Guys, help me!"
"Hang on Amy!" Nebula said as she threw her purple energy blast right at the robot that was holding Amy. It lets go of her, but she was falling. Nebula hits the gas and caught Amy in bridle style; she then puts Amy behind her as Amy wraps her arms around Nebula's waist to hold on.
"You okay, Amy?" Nebula asked.
"Yeah. Nice catch though" Amy said.
"Thanks"
Sonic and Shadow were taking down all the robots rapidly with their spin dash. They destroyed all the robots.
"Good work Shadow" Sonic gave him thumbs up.
"Hmph. Not bad Faker" Shadow was still Shadow.

Moments later; it was almost sunset. Four hedgehogs were walking in the forest. Nebula groans as she falls down to her knees.
"Uggggghhhh!!!"
Her friends gasped and ran into her.
"Nebula, what's wrong?" Amy asked in concern.
"Guys, stay back. I'm changing back again!" Nebula shuts her eyes tight. Shadow and Sonic grabbed Amy and takes a step back.
"Aaaahhhhh!!!!............Grrrrrr!!!" Nebula screams and growls at the same time. Nebula transforms back to a werehog. She throws back her head up and howls at the full moon.
"AAAARRRRROOOOOOO!!!!!" Nebula howled loudly. Amy was so shocked at what she saw.
"Nebula?" Amy stammered. Nebula turns around and growls but noticed that it was her friend Amy. Along with Shadow and Sonic.
"Amy?" Nebula's voice was deeper and scary.
"Oh, great. I'm back to a werehog again. Damn you Eggman!" Nebula growls angrily.
"Eggman did this to you?" Amy asked.
"Yeah, his dumb robots shot a dart at me, and turn me into this" Nebula said.
"Guys get down!" Nebula growls as she jumped high in the air and pounced on the 6 ft. robot. The three hedgehogs moved out of the way.
"That's not what I call a warm welcome you piece of junk!" Nebula snarls angrily as she punched the robot and clawed it with her sharp claws. After she had defeated the robot, she pounds on her chest like a gorilla and howls in victory.
"AAAAARRRRRROOOOOOO!!!!"
The three hedgehogs were completely stunned.
"That was great Nebs!" Sonic gave her thumbs up.
"Thanks. But right now we got to find Eggman. He's responsible for turning me into this. And I'm going to need your help guys. You with me?" Nebula asked. Her friends nodded.
"Thanks guys, you're the best. Now let's go"
"Hey Nebula, how about you fly us there?" Amy said.
"I don't think I have my powers in this form" Nebula said.
"Oh" Amy said sadly.

Moments later; they made to Eggman's base. Nebula shoved aside the metal door. And runs on all fours to find Eggman. Her friends were right behind her. All of a sudden, a brown werechipmunk tackled Nebula on the metal floor.
"UGH!!" Nebula grunts.
"Get off me!" Nebula throws back the werechipmunk over her.
"Sally" Nebula growls angrily at the werechipmunk.
"Nebula" Sally the werechipmunk glared at her.
"Sally?" the three hedgehogs were stunned.
"Hey losers. And hi Sonic"
"You don't give up do you chipmunk?" Sonic glared at her.
"I will never give up until you are mine!" Sally growls.
"I'll never be yours again" Sonic glared.
"Sooner or later you will" Sally smirked evilly.
"Hey Acorn? Why don't you leave my brother alone?!" Nebula roars furiously and tackles Sally.
"Guys! Go find Eggman, I'll handle this selfish monster!" Nebula resumes back to Sally.
The three hedgehogs didn't want to argue but listened to what Nebula just said. They ran to the doors and blasted through their way.

With Nebula and Sally.

Nebula and Sally were on all fours circling around each other.
"What's the matter creepy? Give up?"
"Grrr!! My name is Nebula you nut girl!" Nebula snarled at her.
"Whatever, but you're still creepy" Sally smirked.
"Sally you better stop! You can't have Sonic back, because you don't love him. You're just using him to treat Amy badly" Nebula growls.
"So what? I want him to become king and rule Knothole with me"
"That's really selfish Sally. He doesn't want to become king or marry you! You never make him happy. I don't call that royal!"
"Oh shut up! I'm a princess; I can do whatever I want!" Sally roars.
Nebula pushed Sally to the wall.
"OW!"
"If you're a princess, you're not the princess of Station Square. You didn't put any rules here. You said you're the princess of Knothole!" Nebula growled.
"Shut up!"
Nebula dodged Sally's punch. Nebula throws Sally to the side. Sally gets back up.
"Why you little----!" but then, Nebula pounds her fists on the metal floor causing the crack to burst through to Sally.
"Adios nutty!" Nebula leaves Sally on the floor, and runs on all fours to find her friends and Eggman.

With Sonic, Shadow, and Amy

They found Eggman in his office, demanding him to change Nebula back to her hedgehog form.
"All right! All right! Sheesh! But where is your friend?" Eggman said.
"Oh she's on her way. And also turn Sally back to her normal self!" Sonic hissed angrily.
"Okay! Okay! Don't need to yell at me!"
Just then, Nebula came in and found her friends.
"Nebula is here Eggman!" Nebula growled.
"All right! All right! Sheesh! You pesky hedgehogs are crazy!" Eggman complained.

Moments later; after Eggman changed Nebula and Sally back to normal. Nebula and her friends were happy, but not Sally.
"I'll get you next time Sonic! And you will be mine!" Sally laughed evilly.
Nebula walks up to her with her purple glowing eyes; she folds her arms and glared at Sally.
"….um……until next year…..?" Sally laughs nervously, taking a step back.
"Just as I thought. No, not until next year. Never in a million years. Stay away from my brother" Nebula hissed.
"Your brother? He's not your brother dummy!"  Sally said.
"Yeah, I know that. I meant he's like a brother to me, nutty doofus!"
"Okay! Okay! You don't have to scare me with your creepy glowing eyes!" Sally said nervously.
"Whatever. And we'll be leaving and don't you dare try to follow us" Nebula said as Sally nods nervously.

Moments later; the four hedgehogs arrived at the apartment.
